Venom Movie Actor Ideas

Have you heard about the new Venom movie that they just might make. News has leaked that the movie IS being funded, but they’re waiting before deciding on a release date, probably because they want to first see the success of the upcoming hero flicks. ANYWAY, with the news of this possible movie, a famous question arises – who’s going to act in it??? I have some ideas…

Who should play EDDIE BROCK / VENOM ? The head honcho tough-guy ready to rip apart those who threaten innocence! Well for me, there’s no question – TOM HARDY!

The man looks like Eddie Brock! He’s not puny and fragilay (for those of you who are A Christmas Story fans) like Tiny Topher Grace! He would be a good and popular name on the movie, having acted in INCEPTION, WARRIOR, and many more movies! AND he has great experience with dark roles, having played a troubled fighter in WARRIOR and not to mention his upcoming role as BANE in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES! This guy could easily pull off the dark persona of BROCK while appearing tough and ready to shred some wrong-doers! So for the role of VENOM – TOM HARDY ALL THE WAY!!!!

How about CLETUS KASADY / CARNAGE ? The insane maniac bent on slaughtering innocents and Venom’s arch-nemesis right beside Spider-Man. I would have to vote for JACKIE EARLE HALEY!

I mean, this guy just acts insane for a living! He is the perfect body build for Cletus and has that edgy, creepy appearance needed for the role! His name would be another great addition to the movie and would certainly attract more publicity! Plus his villainous roles as FREDDY in NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and numerous other flicks have proved that he can definitely act as a loco maniac! With his usual odd and disturbing acting behavior, JACKIE EARLE HALEY could easily pull off standing against Venom as a super powered psycho.

What about GENERAL ORWELL TAYLOR ? The vengeful general determined to destroy Venom after the Lethal Protector killed his dirty cop son. I would choose the acting veteran JON VOIGHT!

This guy has acted angry and uptight countless times, but the role that made him stand out to me was MR.SIR in HOLES. He is awesome at acting like a jerk and he looks like Orwell too! Voight could pull off being a hard-butted general easier than a spider could climb a wall.

For the role of ANN WEYING, Brock’s love interest, several actresses could be chosen. BUT I think CHARLIZE THERON would top the list by far!

This woman’s acting is phenomenal! She has been in countless popular movies and has portrayed gloomy characters before, such as the EVIL QUEEN in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN. She would be perfect because of her experience in dark movies and because her name would no doubt attract a lot of attention to the film. She looks like Ann Weying, and I am confident that she could easily act like Ann Weying and She-Venom when the time came.

Now I have some less important actor ideas…

Now I also believe JURY should be included in the movie. Jury is the team of mercenaries that General Taylor forms to kill Venom. However, when this team discovers that Venom isn’t as evil as everyone thinks he is, they decide to stop their hunt against Taylor’s orders, only to clash with him in later comics. Anyway, the choice of actors for the mercenaries wouldn’t really matter but I would definitely put a variety of ethinicities and a woman or two in the group. GERARD BUTLER (who played KING LEONIDAS in 300), STEPHEN LANG (who played the COLONEL QUARITCH in AVATAR), and MICHELLE RODRIQUEZ (who is also in AVATAR) would be awesome additions to this group of shooters.
